Only an approved MOT test centre can provide an annual inspection on your vehicle. Our workshop, which covers the Hammersmith, Holland Park and Shepherds Bush areas, is an authorised DVSA facility specialising in Class IV MOT testing. A dedicated section of our premises is set aside solely for MOT inspections to keep up with local demand.
The Class IV category covers passenger cars and smaller light commercial vehicles. Both of these vehicle types must be presented at an approved MOT test centre on an annual basis once they are more than three years old. MOT testing essentially checks for three different things; roadworthiness, vehicle safety and emission standards.
Motorists in Hammersmith, Holland Park and the surrounding West London area are encouraged to book in for an appointment, although we do occasionally welcome walk-in customers if prior appointments for MOT testing with other customers have been cancelled. Call our MOT test centre ahead of driving out to us and we’ll be able to confirm our current availability.
The majority of our customers bring their vehicles to our MOT test centre personally but for those in the Hammersmith and Holland Park areas who have to stick to a personal or working routine, Netherwood Autos provides a collection and delivery service by arrangement and depending on distance. This means you can still go about your day normally while we take care of your MOT testing requirements.
Alternatively, if you would like to drop off your vehicle and collect it from us after work, we’ll happily park it up safely after testing and take care of the keys until you arrive.
For customers in the Hammersmith, Holland Park and Shepherds Bush areas who intend to use us for MOT testing every year, Netherwood Autos will place your name on a central database and notify you of forthcoming inspections well in advance of the test date. Our MOT test centre can inspect your car up to a month before the current expiry date.
If you are unfortunate enough to present a vehicle for MOT testing and it fails the inspection, it means we have concerns over certain roadworthiness or safety issues, or that your vehicle has failed the emissions check. Under such circumstances, we can advise you on what to do next and, if required, we can book in your vehicle for repairs straight away.
Our MOT test centre can often perform repairs on the same day as the initial inspection if the work required isn’t too sizeable. Netherwood Autos can even provide Hammersmith, Holland Park and West London motorists with a free same-day retest if time allows. If you have left your vehicle in our care, we’ll call you at home or work to let you know the test outcome.
Please be advised that MOT testing is a mandatory requirement and you could be liable to fines of up to £1,000 for driving without a valid MOT certificate. Our company is dedicated to the delivery of customer-focused inspection services, and the ultimate aim of our MOT test centre is to keep Hammersmith, Holland Park and West London motorists legal when on the road.
